Spring is a time of rebirth in nature. Wild flowers bloom, chicks hatch and a variety of mammals give birth to a new generation. It is definitely a special time of year and a great season for photography. Here's one more peak at my recent visit to a fox den. When I get time to do a detailed account I'll do a blog post with additional shots that tell the story of how I approached this pair of young foxes for some photography. I will tell you that no blind or camo was involved! As soon as I'm done editing form this outing I'll be doing a post at http://carolinafootprints.com/blog/ about making these images.

A little taste from a recent visit to the reserve. If there's a creature that can get me more excited than a wild foal it's probably a fox kit. They're just so darn cute! I have quite a few to sort through and I'm sure a blog post about them will be turning up on Carolinafootprints.com soon, but for now here's a sneak peak.

This little fellow is the newest resident of the Rachel Carson Reserve near Beaufort, North Carolina. As this wild herd is managed using birth control to keep its numbers at a sustainable level new foals are always a special treat.

I'd really like to use my Carolina Footprints page for the majority of my photography shares, and move towards a more personal persona here. However this is the profile with most of my connections. Hope you don't mind if I suggest you might consider adding my Carolina Footprints page to your circles.  google.com/+Carolinafootprints
