This was my first time at this lake and ONLY in NJ do they give you a list of DO NOT's and CANNOT's! I was very disappointed with the staff and the fact that you could not enjoy your time outdoors with family and friends without having the staff creep by making sure you followed all of the rules. I was shocked to see they did not add "DO NOT breathe" on the list of restrictions. I had a fun time with my friends and family because we can make it a fun time regardless of any situation, but I will NEVER go back and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Lesson learned!!!!

LifeGuards were over-whelmed by an alcohol fueled, minority crowd of tattooed people(animals). I watched a young lady be taken lifeless out of the water and revived by a clearly inexperienced lifeguard brigade. Kudos on the save, but it was sheer luck the women lived. In addition, the Byram Policemen standing-by watching the melee should be reprimanded by the governing body for texting on the job and ignoring a situation where countless swimmers harassed and chided lifeguards, in a mob-rules situation that was barely contained by a single security guard. Today is July 1 2012, someone check the logs to see which police officers were on the scene and what they had to say about the day's events and how many texts they sent to "loved ones" when work needed to be done. If you want a quality day at the lake, this is not going to be your cup of tea. The grounds are pleasant but the place is clearly being run by folks who are still expecting Mr. and Mrs. Smith to stop in, not 500 ex-cons from North Jersey State Penitentiary. Remember to brush up on your dominoes and spades, as that is what ex-cons play in jail, plenty of games to part-take in here at the lake. Mark my words, there will be a race-riot at this lake before the year is out.

First of all water rides were ok, not great. The second thing I would like to mention is that the so called "Trained" lifeguards couldn't stop people from getting onto the water float in the lake. One individual actually jumped over one of the lifeguards and the lifeguard didn't even yell at him. The third and final thing that I was disappointed with was that I watched a young woman almost die on the beach. The mom had to blow the lifeguards whistle because the lifeguard wasn't paying attention.Once they brought her on beach a crowd of rowdy peopled crowded and the lifeguards had to actually have the Byram Police help. I am very disappointed with the time I had at Tomahawk Lake.

Fun waterpark. It's better than those large water parks (Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Mountain Creek, etc.) It's mostly shady. You must pay for everything. Yes, there are not that much rides, but better than those big water parks mentioned above, because there are short lines as opposed to 10 mile lines and not much people go here. Food here

My experience was horrible. You have to pay for everything, nasty water and unfriendly staff
