Absolutely superb service, waiter, crab cakes are fantastic, and the well done burger was delicious, had an excellent char, and the only dawn side to this place was me bc I was just in a t-shirt and gym shorts haha

The crab cakes were delicious, the macadamia nut crusted snapper was good if a little bland, and the steak was overcooked and dry. The waiter was friendly and helpful although the restaurant was very busy so it was kind of slow. The entire experience was soured by the hostess, however. When we walked into the restaurant, she was nowhere to be seen. Since they were busy, this wasn't completely unheard of but I found it odd that the hostess, whose job it is to greet and seat customers, was not at the front. After waiting about 5 minutes, she showed up and proceeded to take a phone call before addressing us. She finally started talking to us and got two servers or bus boys to show us to our table which I also found strange (that she didn't seat us herself). It seemed some kind of hierarchical power structure was present and the servers and waiters had to check every action with the hostess even if it was as simple as choosing a table. Having to answer the phone for takeout orders and reservations as well as seat customers, she was definitely stretched thin but I've never once had a problem like this at any sit down restaurant, much less a classy joint like Mikey's. It is unfortunate that a great dining experience had to be ruined by the incompetence of the hostess.

WE happened into this place that recently opened around the corner from our house and what a welcome to the neighborhood. Mike knows how to cook! Steaks to die for! The seafood menu was extensive and fresh - and he had awesome burgers for the kids... We want to tell everyone about this place so it stays!! Trey

Wow! I'm impressed. This restaurant has something for everyone from burgers and steaks to gourmet seafood dishes. It's high class but family friendly and without pretension - a welcome addition to the area and probably the nicest restaurant in a ten-mile radius.

The first time we went here, several months back now, I loved everything we had. (That's huge if you ask any of my family, because usually I'll find fault with something.) We enjoyed the bread, very good crab cakes, an excellent Caesar salad, wonderful asparagus and the delicious Fettuccine Natasha. For an entree, I just had the appetizer salad, "Cajun Black & Blue". Wow! The beef was perfect; it was so tender, it melted in your mouth like good sushi. Afterwards, I basked in the bliss of contentedness with a very nice cup of coffee and dessert. I went with the Bread Pudding, and that too rivaled the best I've had. We've only been back once, because the prices are a little high for regular family attendance. I tried something different this second time and wasn't as impressed, but it was still good. I highly recommend this place if you're willing to spend a little more money for a lot better food.
