I'm sorry for your poor dining experience. Every patron that walks through our door is valued beyond comprehension. I understand you tried to use a Groupon this evening. You purchased a Groupon for a 4-person dining experieece. You and your dining companion ( a party of 2) were informed by my staff that if you are to use a Groupon for four you would need to have 3 other diners with you, which is correct. It seems simple enough and it is spelled out very clearly on Goupon's site (which is what is copied and pasted below...)
$16 for $30 worth of small plates for two, valid Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday
$31 for $60 worth of small plates for four, valid Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday
I worked very closely with the people with Groupon to spell out exactly what the deal was and how to redeem it. I wanted to give the best price to the people who would be interested in purchasing one (close to 50% off.)
You, unfortunately, did not follow the guidelines, which were clearly spelled out on Groupon's site.
So you come in with 2 diners to redeem a 4-diner Groupon. I don't see how we are held responsible for your confusion. Then to bash us for your obvious mistake is just not fair.
Again, I apologize for your poor dining experience. Perhaps you will pay attention more closely to the Groupons you buy in the future.
