If you have noticed pain, redness or swelling along your eyelid, you may be suffering from #blepharitis. Affecting either the outside (along the eyelashes) or inside (moist tissue touching the eye) of the eyelid, treatment may range from warm compresses to antibiotic or steroid drops prescribed by a medical practitioner. #Ophthalmologist

#Keratoconus, often referred to as "KC" is an eye disease that causes the cornea to become progressively thinner. A normal cornea is round or spherical in shape, but with keratoconus the cornea bulges forward, assuming more of a cone shape. As light enters the cone shaped cornea it is bent and distorted and unable to come to a point of clear focus on the light-sensitive retina. #Ophthalmologist #LaserVisionCorrection

Doctors have been routinely treating nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism with incisional procedures such as Radial Keratotomy and Astigmatic Keratotomy for over 25 years. By the early 1980s, they began looking at lasers to improve the precision and predictability of altering the shape of the cornea. #Ophthalmologist #LaserVisionCorrection
