"As I began to write, I realized, while it is needed, that is not what I needed to write, at least not now. I started with the image above stating boldly and proudly I am Black History. I revisited Dr. Taylor's quote "History is alive. How we view, interpret and draw lessons from it will dictate how we move forward to shape and develop our future." Black history, African history, is complicated and multifaceted. It is multi-layered. It cannot be learned in a course; perhaps not even in a lifetime. Africa is the motherhood; the home humanity springs from. Africa has been the birthplace of so much. Africans have traveled the world, sharing their beauty, knowledge and riches. We live this, daily." From my latest with the Rogue Scholar Society #LatISM   #Africa  #Latinos #africanamerican   #BlackHistory   #blackhistorymonth   #Roots   #Latinidad   #History
