Rude staff who don't know Hilton policy. The bad experience started with check inn. My room had stains all over the couch and chair. The hotel was over run by out of control high schoolers who did not let me sleep. Worst hotel experience that I've had in a long time.

I picked this hotel because of price and that they had a pool. I was so so so very disappointed that the pool was disgusting. It looked like cloudy gelatin. I did call the front desk and 2 people came down to see it and they apologized and agreed that is was not suitable to swim in. They called the engineer. The skimmer was not working is what i was told. They said the filer was working but I'm 48 and i have been in many pools in my life and this pool was dirty. There was hair and other stuff floating in the surface that appeared to have stuff growing on it. OR at least attached to it. So later i was told that they signed me up for something called Hilton Honors and gave me 10,00 points I thanked them and declined because it is not easy to use the points because you have to search for a hotel and most of them are upwards of 15, 000 points for a night. I checked extensively before i declined the Hilton Honors. So the next day, the pool was still as gross as it was the day before. I was extremely disappointed by this and it did ruin my trip. The 2nd day when i called to complain the told me they can call a sister hotel and i could use their pool. Great idea, whey didn't they offer that the first night. I had to go out in a half hour and did not have time to go to another hotel. Im am not going to contact the manager and tell him the whole story. I have a feeling that this pool has gone neglected for a while. BTW, the rest of the hotel was very very organized and clean. I was happy with that and often wished i had not picked it for the pool. :( I am giving it two stars because i believe that the pool situation could have been resolved completely and was not.

super comfortable, larger than the average Hampton Inn. Great homebase for exploring the city and the staff was great at helping out with understanding public transportation. Really great location of one of my favorite National chain hotels. Location was great for getting not only to the convention center but the Raceway.

Found my Philly hotel! Staff was exceptional. This hotel is within walking distance of everything you need. The subway (which is visitor friendly/easy to use) is pretty much right around the corner. Rooms were clean and ours had a lovely view of the Philadelphia skyline. The only thing that was a bummer was that our room didn't come with a mini fridge. No big deal though!

We were recently in Philly for a 70th Birthday party and booked at the Hampton Inn for its location and the complimentary breakfast. Big mistake. The hotel is OK but the hotel is poorly run and they couldn't even figure out how to do the breakfast so that all the guests ate. The pool had a slick on the top that made it unusable. The location is fairly central but this place needs better management. There are better hotels for about the same price

Edit: I just lowered my review from 2 to 1 stars because my friend who I'm here on business with, didn't know what time the pool closed at all, and he went down to the front desk to ask, and they straight up yelled, "It closed at 10." Staff is rude. I would never go here again. They have coin operated laundry, but no where to get coins. I asked the desk, the bar, and even walked across the street. Then, the pool says it closes at 10, but it actually closes some time before 945. I went down to sit in the hot tub for 15 minutes, and it was locked. The staff said it was because it closes at 10. Last time I checked, 9:45 was before 10. I'll try to get breakfast tomorrow, but maybe I should assume that it's a completely different time then what it says.

I really enjoyed my experience. The rooms were nice and the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. One staff member, James went out of his way to open the pool a little early for me because I had gotten the opening time incorrect. He also fixed the hot tub that seemed to be malfunctioning and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I really appreciated the service of this individual and the staff at the Hampton Inn.
