Hello all, Just wondering if there is any update on the best way to handle cold starts in App Engine Standard Java.

I've tried cron job hitting a url and resident instance. This has been an issue for years and I do not see a solution, other than switching platforms(AWS lambda here we come).

Anyone able to prevent users from getting cold starts???

Part 1 in a series on Actions on Google development from and Android developer perspective. Big take away - you can use Kotlin/Java if you'd like with our open source port of the official SDK!

Hi Folks, happy to announce an early version of a port of actions-on-google-nodejs to Kotlin! Currently most of the conversation components are ported along with the sample using App Engine. It has nearly identical API as the official SDK and working on porting the tests using Spek Framework.

We think this could be really useful to any Java/Kotlin developers, or if you need to use existing Java/Kotlin code. We have been using a version of this internally at Ticketmaster Mobile Studio and plan to continue porting the SDK.

Contributions, reports of issues, and comments are welcome!
