“Walking in the woods helps free my mind. The loamy smell, muted light, envelope of green, and muffled sound help make a space for ideas to germinate. I used to feel guilty about not writing daily, until I realized that I pre-write while walking, and according to current neuroscience, the body drives the mind as well as the other way around. I then aim for a meditative state to write." #inspiration #writing #flow #poetry

(Or: how it turns out that sound is the root inspiration for a visual artist. Who actually started as a poet. In a far far away land.)

Go read and comment and like and share.

You non-musicians, does music inspire you to create?
And you musician, is it always sound that sparks your imagination?

For your Sunday: a live recording of "Verses" from The Chopin Project with +Ólafur Arnalds  & Alice Sara Ott.
Chills to the bones when the cello starts. Deep tears when the violins combine. <3

the darkness that falls like a curtain and

the morning that will always follow.[...]"
