For #TBT, we say Happy 95th Birthday to Checker Cab! It was 1923, when the first Checker Cab rolled off the line at their manufacturing plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Did you know taxi service actually dates back to horse-drawn for-hire hackney carriages services began operating in both Paris and London in the early 17th century?

A #TBT salute to the late Paul Newman, a blue-eyed movie star, salad dressing entrepreneur and…..race car driver! It was June of 1979 when Paul accomplished the greatest feat of his racing career by finishing in second place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race held in France. Newman also won 4 SCCA Series National Championships! (Photo by Michel Dufour/WireImage)

This #TBT we take a little ‘vacation’ and salute The Woody, the nickname given to cars with fake (or sometimes real) wood paneling on the sides. The Woody originated in the late 1930’s and became quite the fad for station wagon owners like the Griswolds in the 70’s and 80's!

You probably learned to keep your hands at the '10 and 2 o'clock' positions on the steering wheel. Did you know that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) now recommends drivers put their hands at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions? One big reason for the change is to keep your hands out of the way if the airbag deploys.
