My debut on WGN 720 AM -- A couple went on their first date to the air sex championships on Friday night. Amy and I talk to the reigning national air sex champion about that, I recite Michael Bolton lyrics, and we try reeeeally hard to keep a segment about air sex from going off the rails. You'll laugh. We did. http://wgnradio.com/2014/03/23/the-air-sex-championships/
Just what are the Air Sex Championships? Amy invites RedEye contributor Matt Lindner and Air Sex Champion Kate Anderson in-studio - find out what happens when you not only attend, but participate in the show.

New RedEye -- Chris Chelios says his early '90s Blackhawks squads wouldn't stand a chance against the current team. http://www.redeyechicago.com/sports/redeye-chris-chelios-wouldnt-give-his-hawks-a-chance-against-current-hawks,0,2360101.story
Chris Chelios played on some of the most electrifying Blackhawks teams ever, teaming with the likes of Jeremy Roenick and Ed Belfour on a memorable Stanley Cup Finals run in the early '90s.

Today's RedEye cover story is on Chicago's burgeoning wheelchair basketball scene. One of the more physical sports you'll ever witness. http://www.redeyechicago.com/sports/ct-red-0328-wheelchair-bulls-main-20140401,0,2805377.story
A scene familiar enough to make Chicago basketball fans wistful for the glory days of the '90s unfolded in a cavernous gym on an unseasonably cold March morning.

Introduction
Freelance contributor to the Chicago Sun-Times and RedEye.

Former professional mascot turned television news reporter turned full-time maker of word magic. As a mascot, I was a racing sausage and a construction worker, with guest appearances as a manatee and a fox among other creatures. My career and my life have been defined by one characteristic -- doing jobs that I enjoy and that inspire me. Sports are my passion but I live to tell a good story, regardless of the genre. Happy Gilmore said everyone has their happy place in life, mine just so happens to be Wrigley Field. I'm unfailingly honest and addicted to social media, so I'm intrigued to find out how this whole Google Plus experiment plays out.
