ADCVR partners, Ken Armstrong and Erica Mudd, recently taught an intensive course on preparing for, taking, and defending expert witness depositions at The American University Washington College of Law, Litigation Skills Summer Institute.

ADCVR partners, Ken Armstrong, Larry Ceppos, Erica Mudd, and Karen Ferretti present on risk management issues and professional liability consideration to hospital residents and fellows at July 2013 resident/fellow orientation.

Benjamin Laufer, Esquire obtains DEFENSE VERDICT in Montgomery County.  Plaintiff alleged that she fell at a Hospital sustaining serious back and knee injuries.  Defendant moved for judgment at the close of Plaintiff's case in chief.  After hearing arguments from both parties, the Court entered judgment in the Defendant's favor.

Benjamin Laufer, Esquire obtains DEFENSE JUDGMENT in Montgomery County.  Plaintiffs alleged civil battery and medical negligence.  Defendants moved for judgment at the close of Plaintiffs' case in chief.  After hearing arguments from both parties, the Court entered judgment in the Defendants' favor.

Robert Maynard, Esquire obtains DEFENSE VERDICT in Montgomery County.  Plaintiff alleged permanent speech complications following removal of soft palate tissue during adult tonsillectomy.  After a four day jury trial, the jury found no deviation in applicable standards of medical care by the Plaintiff’s treating otolaryngologist.   

Erica Mudd, Esquire secures SUMMARY JUDGMENT on statute of limitations grounds on behalf of a District of Columbia hospital.  The plaintiff alleged a delay in diagnosis resulting in organ loss.
