Just a quick update on our Google+ test for businesses:

As you may recall, I posted an update last week on our policy towards businesses in Google+:

If you have not already, please be sure to submit your business for our test phase. You can apply to be a part of this test here: http://goo.gl/zq95C . We will be closing this form on Friday (July 15th) at 6pm PST. To the thousands upon thousands of businesses that applied to be a part: THANK YOU! We won't be able to accommodate everyone, but your interest has got us very focused on accelerating our development plans.

+Dennis Troper (product manager for business profiles), myself and the rest our team will focus next week on selecting a diverse set of business partners for the test period. We will be communicating with these partners next week, and will let the world know who they are soon thereafter. Please note that we are still actively closing profiles that are being used by businesses today. Stay engaged on Google+ with your personal account and continue to send us your excellent feedback. We'll continue to be very proactive in communicating with everyone around our plans for businesses.

Jay Baer shares his take on Google+ and I like the emphasis he places on Social search and adwords. The other element here is that for Google Apps for domains users, Google+can kill Yammer as well.

Introduction
I am a digital business strategist with expertise in social media, digital automotive marketing, web analytics, business case analysis, and competitive and audience research techniques.  

In August 2012, I relocated to San Diego, CA and began a new role as Director, Digital Engagement at The Competitor Group, a leading event and sports marketing company which owns the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series, Tri Rock triathlon Series, Muddy Adventure Series, publishes Competitor Magazine, and more.  

From May 2010 to July 2012, I was a Senior Digital Strategist at Wunderman working on digital social mobile and CRM strategy for Land Rover, Citibank, Johnnie Walker, Nokia, and other clients. Prior to Wunderman, I worked in digital and social media strategy at DIRECTV, iMed Digital, and Razorfish.  

Prior to joining the marketing services world, I was the Assistant Director of the Columbia Institute for Tele-Information at the Columbia Business School.

I have a BA in Political Science from Cornell. Growing up with HBO and Cinemax means I have seen some movies starring John Candy more than 50 times.  I’m a sucker for 80s movies and music references, and classic rock in general.  I subscribe to the print edition of the New York Times, love the  City Room blog and I miss the Metro section.  You can find me on Twitter  discussing the MTA, Facebook monetization strategies, and how businesses can create value for customers and partners.
