I write subtitles by hand. There's a risk of typos, but it's so much more accurate than speech recognition.

- I use Jubler without any glitches. Works similar to YouTube's built in subtitle machine, but much better user interface. Seems more efficient than Notepad. I don't use UTF-8, but their site says it supports it. Might give them a shot. http://www.jubler.org/Jan 26, 2015
