nose2 0.3 and django-nose2 0.1 are available in pypi, for those who like their testing on the dizzy edge.

nose2 0.2 is out, with a couple of new built-in plugins and a handful of bugfixes. I'm calling it an 'alpha' now. It's still missing a bunch of features, but is getting closer to general usability. Find it in the usual place: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/nose2/0.2

Dianne Marsh originally shared:

Dear Michigan House and Senate, this bill apparently prohibits govt agencies (including schools) from protecting children. They are prohibited from specifying more comprehensive anti-bullying legislation than passed on a state level. If I read this correctly, my elementary school cannot pass rules to protect children who are gay from their bullying peers. This makes me sad for our state and sad for our country. Senator McMillin, I'm ashamed of you for introducing the bill. I hope that our state legislators are paying attention and vote it down.

Do people who tweet bug reports expect something to happen?

Here's a cool thing we made at work. It's like juggernaut, but written in python, using gevent-socketio.

Just finished Leviathan Wakes. Easily my favorite SF book since Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy. Thanks +Daniel Abraham and +Ty Franck for making me simultaneously more and less depressed about the end of the shuttle program.

I ended up nabbing the book and finished it a few days ago. It was indeed most excellent! Can't wait for the next one, especially given that damned teaser chapter for it in the back of this volume. I really should learn not to read those.
