I've just installed Ubuntu 16.04 on my laptop but the Ubuntu software app won't open. I've reinstalled it without any result. Is there anybody who has the same problem or can you write any advice to solve it?
It wasn't working for me either on a fresh install, but I prefer synaptic anyway so I just installed that instead...Jun 13, 2016
What happens if you open a terminal and run "/usr/bin/gnome-software" ?Jun 13, 2016
+Alan Pope I got this error message: (gnome-software:3370): Gs-WARNING **: failed to open plugin /usr/lib/gs-plugins-9/libgs_plugin_xdg_app_reviews.so: /usr/lib/gs-plugins-9/libgs_plugin_xdg_app_reviews.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryJun 14, 2016
That error is a red herring:
