Repealing Obamacare and implementing the Ryan budget is what the GOP exists to do. And if the top Republican in the Senate won't defend his party's positions politically, there's every reason to suspect the party itself wouldn't be able to execute on the vision, if ever given the chance.
Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes has the Senate minority leader changing his tune.

I think a judicious study of the realities Karl Rove has been able to create wouldn't flatter him. And that we'd all be better off if he and his confederates started taking things as they are, not as they'd like things to be.
Fox News has every incentive to downplay any good news for Obama—and the result is disastrous.

Conservatives are of the incoherent view that the agreed upon terms of Bergdahl's release weren't worth it, and that those terms should have been proportional to an evaluation of his conduct that can only be conducted with any legitimacy now that the deal is done.
Most conservatives aren't arguing that the U.S. should have left Bowe Bergdahl behind, but it's the inescapable conclusion of their opportunistic critique.

That this legacy would be procedural in nature, and born of confrontation, is an amazingly appropriate testament to Boehner and this majority.
It turns out Obama's vast and indisputable misconduct is limited to this one thing, according to John Boehner.

Companies like Hobby Lobby have morally forfeited their claims to the full protections of corporate separateness. But under the law, they get to keep all of them. Because the game is rigged.
The Hobby Lobby ruling is a troubling view into the way the government treats disputes between business owners and everyone else.

The risk to Republicans is that their incessant politicking of the VA scandal will increase the public's expectation of Congressional action, at which point Republicans will have to kill vet-backed Democratic legislation without offering an alternative, or propose a privatization plan that will backfire politically. Or else they'll have to cave.
By politicking the VA scandal, Republicans will have to choose between owning their unpopular privatization plan and being unresponsive to veterans' needs.
