Joseph Gamble and I had a great time shooting Savannah State University two weeks ago! Here is a sampling of the best images from both of us. FYI, images 7, 8, 15, and 16 were shot with my Sony RX1. These will be the first commercially used images from my RX1. However, most of the images are from Joseph's D800s and the 5D MkII I rented for the shoot. This week I'll bring the RX1 with us to shoot University of Florida and see if I can get even more keepers. Can't wait!

No legs. No head. I wish I would have used a smaller aperture so the bird was more obvious. Does it work anyway?

God in the waters. A church baptizes members at the beach. When I took this, I though of each pair of people or each little family as tiny little portraits within the whole image. There are some details I don't like, and I am not sure if the idea of "baptism" even comes across in the image because: no one is being dunked under, no bible is present, there is no apparent pastor or priest, etc. Does this look like a baptism to you? Either way, is still interesting and worth saving?

Why am I posting this here: There are two moments in this photo that I think make an interesting pair and that I worked hard to capture at the same time, but I need your opinion about whether or not it all comes together. Moment 1: pouring of the lemonade, framed in the window. Moment 2: the cowboy checking out the passing lady. Both are moments of sweetness, desire, craving. However, I don't know if everything here works together that way I think it does. The ground is dirty, there is trash behind the stand, the lady on the left is dark and cropped. Anyway, let me hear your thoughts.
