We are moving cross country for a military move and KC was a stop along the way. We wanted to give our dog some exercise so we contacted Dog Pawz a month before our move. I sent over all the required paperwork and vaccination records via email. I made the appointment online. I spoke with a representative over the phone to confirm everything was correct and she assured me Lucy was good a month before the trip. After a long road trip in the car, we arrived at daycare only to find out they they were not going to take our dog because they were over capacity and recommended we take the dog to another location. Then when we insisted we stay, they had to get it cleared by a manager. Fine. Then they asked for a copy of the vet records. I told her I emailed it and she insisted we had a hard copy. I told her I could resend the email. She said she could print it when she found it. When she looked through the records, she said, umm gave you been back to the vet since November? That was her last Bordatella. I said the Bordatella is yearly so we are not due until November. She informed me that they require it to be every 6 months. So they didn't check anything I sent a month ago?? This was a huge inconvenience to us as we had planned on our dog being occupied as we had other plans. We asked to speak with the manager and there was not one available. We called the other Dog Pawz locations and there was no manager available at any of them. Suspicious. Why couldn't they look over the paperwork when I sent it a month ago? Very disappointed in the service of this organization.

You all know how picky I am about caring for our animals - and I love these guys - so caring - and make it so fun for the puppies! Spent a couple of days observing for a personal project and my baby girl if still with me would be there! They manage everything so well and care for each puppies needs - perfectly!

Dog Pawz is KC's #1 Boarding Facility and Daycare! I highly recommend them to anyone with pups! The staff is absolutely wonderful and they care about each pet as if it were their own! They also work with Great Plains SPCA to assist with adoptions by providing space and boarding for high stressed long-term shelter pets needing a break from the shelter! I will always choose Dog Pawz for my furbabies!

This place is awesome! The staff treat my dogs like they are they're own. I have a rather rambunctious dog and a very timid dog, and they really work to cater to each individual dog personality! Been other places...now it's only Dog Pawz! Rocky and Louie agree (my dogs). Stations are clean and my dogs are happy when I pick them up!

The grooming is average, but between all the rules they have and paperwork they require, it doesn't seem worth it. The first time we took our dog there, the haircut was fantastic. We filled out all kinds of paperwork before our dog's first grooming there in 2015. When I went to schedule a second grooming in early 2016, I learned that they had lost all our records…plus they required our dog get a second vaccination for bordetella (and our dog is always up to date on shots). Between having to pay for an extra vaccination ($23) and paying for extra grooming we didn't request ($54), we're out $75. That's an awful lot of money for just "a cleaning and trim" for a 20 lb. dog. We likely won't be back.

We used this business to board our dog, Mia, while we went on vacation for 5 days. Reviews seemed great, even if we weren't thrilled that they didn't have an outdoor area for them to play. They did have a big play area indoors and even a doggy cam app on which you could watch your dog play. When we dropped her off, Mia proceeded to immediately pee and poop on the floor, and they were awesome about it, graceful about our embarrassment and apologies. Like I said, seemed great. Then the sh*t started, literally. When we picked her up, not only did she reek, she was covered in dog urine on her legs, tail, and face. If they stay more than 3 nights or something, they're supposed to get a complimentary bath (probably to hide the fact that they're playing in their own excrement all day, but that's just a biased assumption). She did not get that bath. But fine. Not a big deal. We may think our dog is a queen and find it below her to be covered in pee, but not everyone shares our opinion so we got over it. To be fair, we picked her up at 2:00 when we were scheduled for 4:30. They later told us that she would’ve gotten bathed at 4:00, but my cynical side believes that to be a bit convenient. Yet it gets worse, people. After getting her home, she was sleepy and uninterested in things like saving us from the pizza man when he delivered our order. We worried, but figured it was just sheer exhaustion from being away. The next day, she still didn't recover, and started refusing her coveted walks. Not a huge deal, but a little more worried. Then the following morning, yesterday, the puking started. Piles and piles of vomit that looked suspiciously like poop by mid-day -- 16 to be exact. We rushed her to the vet, to find that due to a virus "that she most likely picked up from boarding" -- she was literally impacted with poop. Her entire colon was filled with crap (remember the vomit? Think about that one.). Our little queen had to be subjected to an enema, fluids, blood tests, x-rays, etc. I'm not one of those insane pet parents who treats my animals like my children, ok maybe a little, but you try getting a tube filled with water shoved up your butt. Or vomiting poop like an episode of South Park. The $445 bill aside, this upset us. Naturally, we wanted Dog Pawz to deal with this issue. They offered to refund our entire boarding costs, around $150, and give her a complimentary bath (but remember, she should've already gotten one, so this was kind of weak). We accepted, minus the bath because she's never stepping paw in there again. Fast forward to today, when we had to bring our queen back to the vet because she's still not eating or drinking, so the vet could administer IV fluids. The vet called Dog Pawz, and because he can't 100% say that it came directly from there, they decided to halve our previously promised refund of $150, to $75. Excuse my language, but WTH. Mia has not spent time anywhere but boarding, she has not been around any other dogs, and she fell ill "within the typical 24-48 hour period" after picking it up. Which means that previous to the 24-48 hour period, she was at Dog Pawz. I don't care if you don't pay our vet bill, that's fine. Just like kids get sick from daycare, dogs can too. But don't promise a refund and then take it back. That is beyond unprofessional, it's unethical and shows exactly how poorly this company is run. The lesson I learned from this: Never go to Dog Pawz. TL;DR -- took our dog to boarding for 5 days, covered in dog urine and very sick when we got her back, promised a full refund, then later told we're only getting half of it back. Worst place ever.

I have two dogs, and have never used a facility like this. They made my dogs and myself feel very welcome, in them staying here when I went on vacation. I also had them groomed and they turned out great!! I am taking my dogs here again to have some play dates! Thanks for the great service and friendly staff!!

We took our two dogs to Dog Pawz for almost a week while we were out of town. They loved it. We love picking them up, happy to see us, and seeing how much energy they have just being there. We have tried a few other kennels around town, but were thrilled when Dog Pawz opened because of it's great locations! Our two medium-sized (35 lb) dogs were in great shape when we picked them up and they enjoyed the experience immensely. The webcams are a plus! I would like to add, there is obviously a fake review on here by a disgruntled person. It's a sad world we live in when some losers have nothing better to do than trying to ruin others.
