Congregation Ale House opened its first restaurant in Long Beach in 2010, with the idea in mind to bring Old World beers to a New World setting. After opening restaurants in Azusa and Pasadena as well, Draft Magazine named Congregation Ale House as one of the Top 100 Beer Bars in the country in 2012.

Here at Congregation Ale House, our Pasadena Chapter rests on the site of one of Los Angeles' original brewpubs and craft beer havens and is the former home of Crown City Brewery, a Pasadena landmark. So come in and enjoy one of our Congregation Ales, a craft draft, bottle, or even a cocktail while taking in some history.

Great food and Belgian Fries! Constantly rotating tap list of around 40-50 taps. Great Patio and "Church theme". Priced $. Limited Table Service.

I had sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo and rosemary garlic mayo sauce; it was delish!! The beer selection was awesome and servers came around repeatedly to check up on us. I went for trivia night and would definitely come back. A fun time had by all. :)

've been hearing about Congregation Ale House in Long Beach and never got to check it out, but I got to check out the newly open one in Pasadena! I went there on a Monday where they have happy hour all night. Here's the breakdown of their happy hours: All day Monday / Tuesday - Friday 3-7pm and midnight till closing $1 off draft beer $1 off wine $2 pub pretzel $2 fries, Sweet potatoes, Belgium fries $1 off sandwiches and burgers $3 well drinks $3 pint of the day (today's was Young Chocolate stout) I can't comment much on the food for now since I only stop by for one drink. The place is small, but parking is convenient since they have their own corner lot. When you order, start at the bar and then find a seat unless you have some friends nice enough to save a table for you! Also, if you keep your tab open, you can order more with the waiters...I can't wait to come back and actually get some grub here! P.S. Their waiters and waitress are dressed in Catholic School Boys and Girl Theme.

Excellent variety of beers and the food is pretty good... but the service is slow. Some of the waitresses have a horrible attitude... If you pay cash, the waitresses/waiters direct you to the cashier (then why do you have waitresses/waiters in the first place?), and if you dare to use your credit card, they double charge you! Next time I'll go to Lucky Baldwin's or the Yard House instead.

Great beer list and tasty eats! Casual place to grab a drink after work or to start of the night. Added bonus: the patio is dog friendly!
