This is an excellent establishment with a very rich atmosphere. The place is said to have opened in 1375, however regardless of the validity of the argument it is what I have always imagined a medieval tavern to be - dark, cozy, with Plain wooden tables with benches, and comfortable chairs. There are 3 levels with the top being right on the entrance level and two others below. The second level is beautifully decorated with sculls and lowest one uses pieces of what looks like carriage tackle, simple yet elegant. Both lower levels are lit by candles only which adds charm to the atmosphere. We didn't get to try the highly recommended dark home brewed beer but other selections were excellent as well. We ordered honey grilled pork ribs and the plate had about 2 dozen pieces. The ribs plus grilled Camembert made sure the two of us didn't have room for desert. With another appetizer or soup the plate could have easily fed 3. The cost of food and 5 beers was a whooping $32. Try to beat that anywhere in the US. The service is quite a relief from the uptight, puritanical, and boring one americans are used to. Here the staff might tell you to eat food with your hands or yell at you to go ahead and order another beer (because you only had one). They dress and look up to par with the theme and really go out of their way to make sure this will be an experience you won't easily forget. Yet all of this is done with grace and in good fun. Then, there are the shows. Tuesday to Saturday from 7 to 10 pm there will be live medieval music and dances, fire-shows and juggling. This place is a must when visiting Prague. P.S. the food was excellent

The place is excellent for what it is - a place to stay on a budget. Very clean rooms and grounds, very peaceful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is closer to a hostel than a motel by feel and, if there are two of you, by price. Rooms have a decent size fridge and tv; some have microwaves and there is a microwave next to the office along with ice, hot/cold drinking water and free coffee in the morning. The major downsides are the freight trains that run across the street, so if you are a light sleeper, you might get woken up 1-2 times at night. The walls are on the thin side too as I could hear the next room's TV. This is by far the best deal for the price I have seen. There are a few food places within 5 minute walking distance including a famous Key Lime House. The direct road across the inter-coastal is under construction at the moment, so you will need a car or some other mode of transportation to get to the beach. The motel staff can provide a shuttle to/from for a fee.
