Woodland is a modern American bistro. The open façade allows diners to feel like they’re eating on the sidewalk while an intimate outdoor garden area feels like a homey backyard. The menu is carefully planned: Dinner starts strong with a varied cocktail list and mixed breads served with walnut bitter cream butter and black Hawaiian salt. Appetizers like mild, easy-slurping oysters, and a pan of smoked baby eggplant with crispy, blackened skins are tasty but the venison tartare is a standout, topped with raw egg and dollops of sharp horseradish crème. Entrée highlights include a tender Riesling-braised rabbit; for red-meat enthusiasts, a robust butler’s steak is enhanced by a sharp béarnaise sauce, extra-large potato wedges, and a dose of sea salt. Desserts like a seasonal fruit crisp and a perfectly formed panna cotta end things in deliciously casual style.

My friend and I came here for brunch on a Saturday. I have passed by the area several times and always wanted to try it. They ordered the fried calamari ($12) and liked it. They ordered the seasonal omelet ($12) which seems like it had a bunch of random ingredients in it. They enjoyed it and I had a small bite and it was good. I ordered the chicken and red velvet waffles ($15). It was tasty but it felt like it was missing something. The chicken was also a bit greasy but dry in the inside. It advertised three pieces but I only got two. Our waiter was friendly but he didn’t really check up on us. Might try the place again but I would try something different.

Probably the most expensive date I've been on. Drinks are great, food not bad! Service 👍🏾 but DO NOT GO HERE ALONE! The playlist will have you in your feelings texting your ex. Anywho, nice spot!

Average at best. T-bone was grocery store quality, waitress couldn't open a bottle of wine. Ordered sparkling water and the man we ordered it from didn't know what that was so he brought still water. The rest of our food was ok. But ok isn't enough for this girl from Philadelphia. Staff means well but needs more training.

Best tiramisu I've ever had. Everything else is (overpriced) garbage. Also, if you're a fan of cringeworthy live music, they've got loads of it on Thursday evenings.

Ugh what a bummer. I was really hoping this place, with it's cool looking atmosphere and awesome backyard area, would be awesome. Unfortunately, for what they offer and at the prices they offen them, they really fell short. If you would like a pice of cheddar cheese, melted in the microwave and then drizzled with some honey for a cool $10, Woodland is the place for you. If you're up for a fancy looking bar with a limited drink menu and horrible wine list, go here. If you want to spend $25 on a small overcooked piece of chicken, then woodland is again, the place for you. There was unfortunately nothing redeeming about this place and the prices are way too high for the quality of food they're producing. Wish I hadn't gone.

I actually like this spot. It just leaves me wanting more from it. I really don't know exactly what its missing, but I feel like something is missing from giving it a 4 star rating. Anyway the food was really good. I had the salmon over asparagus in a yellowish sauce. It was really tasty and cook very well. The food is a bit pricier than I felt it should be. The menu is small so their is not much to choice from. The main course doesn't come with a side and u need to order it separately. So me and my lady ordered a 6-7 piece jerk piece wings. (Not a full wing) salmon with a side of sweet potato fries. My lady ordered oxtail with a side of white rice. Our drinks was sprite and a corona. All of that came up to approx $72. Not to mention portions was very small. Overall it's ok

Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Woodland with some friends, the food, drinks and service was spectacular. I highly recommend the Hendrix East side cocktail and the Half boiled smoked Quail eggs appetizer (even though it's tiny). The only complaint I had was that the very expensive steak was not really good. I'd get something else.

Woodland hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
