The Applied Theatre Center has been improving its marketing and fundraising game over the last few months. More actors, more workshops, 501(c)(3) status, and now a MailChimp campaign. As Robert Penn Warren once said, "something is going to happen without a doubt." (http://www.appliedtheatrecenter.org)

A computer embedded in this refrigerator's door allows the owner to play Pandora or look up recipes or read Twitter feeds while working in the kitchen. His home theater boasts a library of over 1,000 DVD titles, a 12-foot-wide screen, electronically-controlled leather recliners, and a $400 projector bulb that requires professional installation. Nor is he a particularly wealthy man. Whether a society that makes such luxury possible in the mainstream is on the cusp of greatness or oblivion, I cannot say.

A roll of the Old Hickory stickers I designed found today at the front gate of Furman University where they'd been given to people attending the Scottish Games in May. Sic transit gloria mundi.
