Mikes Bikes in Palo Alto has continuously provided me a great customer experience. I have been taking my Bikes to their Tech department for over 2 years now, and have been very impressed. Most of the Tech's know what they are doing, but I've found Robbin and Daniel to be best - they both go above and beyond when it comes to bike maintenance. Every time I pick my bike up from Daniel, he tells me he fixed the original issue, but noticed 2 other things and fixed/adjusted those too! If you need something on the sales floor Cody knows the ALL the products inside and out, and is super consultative. I'd recommend anyone to visit Mikes Bikes.

Friendly folks with good mix of merchandise. I have a warranty issue with a bike they sold me and that's where things got hard. No followup and no communication that wasn't started by me. Frustrating given that it's an expensive bike and I can't use it.

I bought 3 bikes here over the last couple of years. This is my to-go place for any kind of bike repair. These guys are really great. They are always very friendly and very helpful, many times they fixed my bike for free. Highly recommended!

Don't get a maintenance contract with a new bike. They don't do maintenance well. Three bad experiences and I gave up. Also, my bike arrived with crooked handlebars.

Just bought a 2013 Specialized Tarmac from Mike's Bikes in Palo Alto - salespeople were extremely helpful and honest, they seemed to care more about finding me the right bike and were in no rush to make the sale. Maintenance package was also an awesome deal: $150 for three years of maintenance of any kind. If you know you're going to buy a bike - go to these guys, they let you test out the bikes for 24 hours for $100, but that fee goes toward the purchase of the bike - so they let you take the bike out for a good spin. Overall, great buying experience.

Walked into the shop ready to buy a bike, helmet, lock etc. All the accessories. Waited around for someone to help. Explained to the sales person what I wanted and we started looking at bikes. He saw another customer not being helped and called the girl from the from counter to take over with me so he could go attend to the other folks. She wanted me to explain again what I need so we went over it all again and she was about to show me some other bikes, when the store manager asker her to go back to the counter and asked me to stand by the bikes I wanted and someone would get to me. After two people getting to me and then being dragged away I figured it wasn't going to happen for me at Mike's. My suggestion to bike shoppers, take your hard earned money to a shop that is committed to getting what you need as quickly as possible and as accurately as possible. Mike's is NOTthat shop.
