Great beer selection that's not far from Times Square. I was really pleased to see so many west coat options (Firestone Walker, Bear Republic sours, etc.) as well as some delicious east coast options (Cigar City!). Definitely recommend hitting this joint if you're a beer nerd like I am.

One of the best beer bars in NYC, hands down. From selection, to promo nights, to knowledgeable servers, to crowds, there isn't as much competition as you might think. At first glance, it just looks like another dark, wood-paneled Midtown bar. Then you take a closer look and see legit paraphernalia from top brewers. Then you see the ceiling inn the back surrounded by old tap handles. Then you see their working tap handles--all 40+ of them--and finally you get the bottle and tap menus to see over a 100 options. Yep, they're for real. Brewery represented well here include Dogfish Head, Founders, Troegs, Stoudt's, Cigar City, Victory, Great Divide, Avery, Oskar Blues, Sixpoint, Stone, Speakeasy, Brooklyn, and Ommegang. If none of that made any sense, this place may not be for you. If it does, than you need to go if you haven't already. I've had the food on a few occasions as well, and it is also surprisingly good and given the variety of styles available, there is always a good pairing for any dish. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place; even the prices are fairly reasonable. It also clears out pretty quickly during the week as many of the patrons are commuters stopping in for a drink. I love this place, period.

Looking for a fun bar to get some drinks with a group of friends - this place is perfect. Things may get a little rowdy on busy nights, so ordering drinks may get harder but trick is to sit down for dinner and get served drinks at the same time.

We ended up there at the end of October last year. Great spot and great beers with great locals. A regular sitting at the bar called Chris very kindly recommended other beer locations for us in NYC (thanks Chris we all loved that Old Rabbit place you suggested on Macdougal Street). Will definitely check out Rattle N'Hum again next time I'm in New York.

What a phenomenal craft beer palace! The selection of IPAs alone is immmense. I had the Founders Centennial IPA, which is yummy. It went very well with the lamb sliders! The feta cheese topping was perfect!

A beautiful place to visit if you enjoy drinking good beer. During my visit good vibes appeared to be emanating from every patron and also from the friendly bar tenders. The bar had a colourful and inviting aesthetic which enhanced the experience of drinking really nice beer. When in Manhattan you should make visiting Rattle 'n' Hum a priority.

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The beer list is what makes me want to give it more stars not the food. I really enjoyed the cask style ale they had as well as some of the stouts. They let you taste any of the beers on draft which is awesome. It was very crowded when we went so we had to wait awhile for a table before we could eat. When we did get sat, all of the tables are so close together, there was no room to move or even sit straight on your chair. Food is good, nothing too special but better than your usual bar food. I had the tacos and we got the guacamole as an appetizer. Overall, a cool place to hangout but it may take you awhile to be able to get a table to eat.

Their craft beer selection is nothing to scoff at. While they not have a more popular beer you were looking for, the staff is knowledgeable enough to point you towards something they do have that is similar of not better. The music isn't blasting so you might be able to actually carry a conversation. The tables are long enough to fit your parties up to 8-10 comfortably.
