Charles Lindberg was an amazing human being. Choosing the 53 that made it into the video was very challenging!

Music for Positive Change™ - "Empowering and Connecting People Through Music"
Introduction

Chris Chickering is a singer-songwriter whose deepest wish
is for you to truly embrace and live in your greatness.

In 2013, Chris founded Music for Positive Change™, a music venture whose mission is “empowering and connecting people through music” - by writing and performing songs with empowering lyrics that speak to timeless, universal truths about the human condition.

Chris has a vision for leveraging these truths with the power of music, to bring people together, lift their spirits and create a brighter, more unified world.

His music infuses folk,
rock and world music influences with vocals that share the same fiery, organic DNA of recordings by Cat Stevens, Bruce Springsteen and Van Morrison.

Chris Chickering’s albums, including: “Living in the Now,” (Oct., 2013) “Shine,” (Aug., 2012) and “The Crazy Crazy Ones” ([Single] Nov., 2013) are available everywhere music is sold.

INSPIRATION BEHIND THE MUSIC:

Chris’s songwriting process is driven by a life-long fascination with consciousness and finding the deeper universal truths that lie at the root of the human condition and what unifies us. He has spent many years studying psychology, hypnosis, peak performance as well as exploring religious texts and ancient myths from every corner of the world – and is committed to infusing the very best of what he’s learned into his lyric-based songs.

Chris’ lyrics speak to the deeper relationship we can have with both ourselves and others. The music asks us to believe in ourselves and remind us that it’s never too late to follow the path of our highest self.

CHILDHOOD VISION:

At the age of 7, Chris had a vision of himself onstage, singing and playing positive, upbeat music. His vision lay dormant for many years…

Until one day, in the Spring of 2007, when the pain of putting off his dream became too great, Chris finally started the journey, by producing his first song “Stay.”

THE MUSIC:

Over the course of the next 3 ½ years Chris spent his time flying from his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico to San Francisco and Nashville, writing and producing his first studio album: “Shine”, which was released on August 10th, 2012.

“Shine” features 9 original songs and Cat Stevens’ classic ballad: “Father and Son.”

Without missing a beat, Chris plowed forward and immediately wrote 37 songs with Grammy nominated, Emmy award-winner Greg Barnhill for Chris’s 2nd studio album: “Living in the Now.”

“Living in the Now” was produced at QUAD Sound Studios in Nashville in the spring of 2013 and released worldwide on October 1st, 2013. “Living In The Now” features 14 new, original tracks and was awarded “The Best Albums in Santa Fe 2013 –
Popular Choice Award” by Hutton Broadcasting and is ranked
one of the top 20 albums of the year by Transitions Radio
Magazine, one of the most highly-rated, widely-listened-to
specialty radio programs in New Mexico.
