Food here is as authentic Italian as you can get. I had the meatloaf last night. It was identical to my Sicilian grandmother's. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant since 2000. We've never had a bad experience. Food and drinks are top drawer at a reasonable price. The muzak is Frank Sinatra and that era. Go especially if you like 1950s standards. The sound system is loud enough to hear the words, but not too loud to interfere with conversation. Staff is friendly, wonderful and attentive. Go early or late so as not to wait in the line.

I live in SE Aurora. I decided to go to Luigi's on a Tuesday for lunch because I had a Groupon I wanted to use. I often buy Groupons to test out restauants that sound good. I had noted on the website that they were open at 11:30. When I arrived there was no one there and the place was closed. I then noted the hours posted near the door said Monday and Tuesday 4-9. When I returned home I rechecked the website figuring I must have misread something. I hadn't. The website still said 11:30- 9:00 Monday-Thursday. I sent them an email letting them know of my concern, but have received no reply or acknowledgement. Not the best customer service. As to the food, I don't know.

Food was very good. Had the Eggplant Parmesan and was very happy. Sauce on spaghetti was very good and the noodles were too. Everything was homemade and good. Service was good too. The decor is nothing fancy, but was clean. It is a little hidden, but I would much rather go here than across the street to Olive Garden by far.

This is not good Italian food. Bread served is homemade but hard as a rock. I had the Ziti Bolognese and it was meatless and very dry. I asked for more gravy to make it palatable. That did not work either. I should have returned it but instead have vowed never to go back! It is a shame but I believe Olive Garden has them beat hands down

I'be been eating here for 10 years... Consistently good food. Favorites: Fried calamari, Minestone, Hunter's Chicken, Lamb, Rock Shrimp Sausalino, Chicken Marsala... Wait staff is generally cheerful, fiendly, and love the bread (and refills) dipped in olive oil.

Amazing Italian food at pretty reasonable prices. I loved the Garlic bread and Tiramisu here. The place is generally not crowded and is more of a 'Italian family restaurants' kinda. The service was good too...Much better than the Olive Gardens and Macaroni Grill's of the world.

The lasagna is made with spicy sausage instead of hamburger. If you like it bold and spicy it's fantastic. And they have a couple of salmon dishes that are extraordinary.
