We had the pleasure of making stationery for Jessica and Ian who tied the knot at Peckforton Castle on Saturday.

They wanted to use an image of the castle on their stationery so we took a colour image and turned it into a pencil sketch with a little 'magic'. They loved what we created and here's some of their 'On the Day' stationery.

Ten days before we also received a message from the groom asking if we could help with a little surprise - he'd rewritten the words to a famous song and would be performing it on the day! He wanted a lasting reminder to present to his gorgeous bride at the end of the song which tied-in with the theme. We LOVE a surprise and are always happy to help.

We are having a bit of a move around in the shop this weekend to make more room for lovely goodies. We're also going to move the consultation area to within the studio area to allow a little more privacy. This will also mean that customers can browse without feeling they are 'intruding' if a consultation is taking place.

The extra space will give us room for more goodies from Belly Button Designs, Caroline Gardner, East of India, Ginger Ray UK, Really Good Ltd, Sass and Belle and others. We'll have lots more greetings cards, gift wrap and bags as well as introducing some gorgeous stationery (we all know I LOVE a bit of stationery!) and other gift items.

Lots of orders have been placed in the last few days so next week will be a little chaotic getting everything unpacked, priced and ready for sale!

We'll post some pictures once the move around has been completed.

Have a lovely weekend.

SHE ASKED AND HE SAID...

Ladies, will you be taking advantage of Leap Day and proposing? This is exactly what I did four years ago when I asked Mr B to be my husband!

It all came about in 2011 when I had a very drunken night out with one of my bridesmaids, Cheryl (someone I met when we worked together with Mr B). We talked about when he might pop the question and after a few G&T's we agreed that if he'd not done it by Leap Day, then I would!

After that night, I didn't give it much thought until 7:05am on 29 February 2012 when Cheryl sent me a message on Facebook saying 'Today's the day!' I thought yes it is, today is THE day.

When I arrived at work, I called my sister, Karen, in Australia who was rather excited travelling home from work; she was actually crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge when we spoke! Karen and Cheryl were the only people who knew about the very important question that I was going to ask Mr B later that day.

It wasn't all plain sailing though - Mr B worked late then came home with some work that needed to be finished off but our broadband wasn't working. He had no clue and I drank a bottle of wine to calm my nerves and fell asleep. It was beginning to look like it wouldn't happen but I managed to get my proposal in with only a few minutes to spare before midnight.

I asked and he said YES! A few days later we went ring shopping (I got to choose my ring and he paid!) and the following week we visited the vicar booked the wedding for 7 October 2012.

Don't be nervous ladies - if I can do it anyone can!
