Utah Jazz  -

A stretch 4 is definitely on the Jazz's offseason wish list. While they may address that via the Draft or through a trade, here are some potential free agents who are a bit under-the-radar as shooting bigs. They are not the most glamorous of names, but might be nice bench additions. Any thoughts on these guys or any others? For +Salt City Hoops.
Much of last season's success for the Utah Jazz can largely be attributed to the team's incredible improvement on defense. Head coach Quin Snyder really made his mark with his defensive philosophie...

NBA Draft  -

The first iteration of the +Salt City Hoops +Utah Jazz mock draft round-up is here. With all the mocks updated post-Lottery, here they are with a few Jazz-related thoughts on the prospects.
The NBA Draft Lottery has come and gone and while the Utah Jazz did not get lucky, they now know that the 12th pick is indeed theirs on June 25th. With draft positions settled, the next few weeks w...

Has the door shut for Jeremy Evans in Utah?  For +Salt City Hoops
For five seasons, the high-flying, beyond athletic Evans has called Utah his home. He has spent his entire NBA career in a Jazz uniform. Thanks to his acrobatic plays, astounding alley oops,...

Why the +Utah Jazz should and most likely will bring back Joe Ingles. There are plenty of good reasons. For +Salt City Hoops.
Just two days before the 2014-2015 NBA season began, the Utah Jazz carried out a transaction that did not garner much attention, nor did it seem to be one to warrant it. When it was said and done, ...

The +Salt City Hoops staff did some reflecting on the 2014-15 season for the +Utah Jazz. Our 5 on 5 response to some good questions. Enjoy!
As you've probably seen, ESPN.com will do 5-on-5s to talk about various events in the NBA schedule. We're going to do one at SCH that talks about the end of the season. Thanks to newest SCH writer ...

This will be a fun, new look for the +Utah Jazz next season. I'm excited to get a pair when they're available!
SALT LAKE CITY (April 1, 2015) - The Utah Jazz are excited to announce an addition to the team’s uniform set. Beginning next season, the Jazz will be the first NBA team to officially introduce Three-Quarter Court Pants, which the team will feature during select games. The Jazz wanted to expand on the sleeved-shirt style that a handful of NBA teams have incorporated this season and came up with the idea of court pants. The team consulted with note...

The latest 5-on-5 for +Salt City Hoops explores five different trade scenarios for the +Utah Jazz involving the #12 pick. Would you do any of these trades?
1.  Jazz trade #12, OKC 1st, & Trey Burke to the New Orleans Pelicans for Jrue Holiday Ben Dowsett: All day, and twice on Sundays. I wrote about Holiday recently, and think he's a great target ...

Some fun questions in this week's 5-on-5 for +Salt City Hoops. Irrational love for certain +Utah Jazz players, Jazz players we could not get behind, jerseys and mascots!
What current or former Jazz player (who was not that good) do you irrationally love? Dan Clayton: I’m still sad that Raul Lopez didn’t work out, and I’ll insist until my dying day that he had a cha...

+Salt City Hoops will be doing regulr 5-on-5 posts this offseason and going forward. Here is this week's installment, with questions regarding the roster, Draft and trades.
1.  Will the Jazz trade up, trade down, trade out, or keep their pick in the draft? Dan Clayton: Assuming it's pick #12, I still think their preference is to trade it for the right complementary ve...

I made some +Utah Jazz predictions back in October. How did I fare? For +Salt City Hoops.
As the final moments of the 2014-2015 Utah Jazz season sadly tick down, it is accountability time. Back in October, this writer took the opportunity to jot down some predictions for this season. So...

With his injury, Alec Burks has become a somewhat forgotten man. I, for one, am excited to see what he brings to the table next season. My take on the value of Alec Burks, for +Salt City Hoops
The Utah Jazz have been one of the league's really fun stories over the second half of the season. The defense has been the league's best, experiencing an absolutely stellar metamorphosis right bef...

I like the comparison. I just don't think that he has the same off the bounce game as Harden. Slasher I think he is a top 5 in the game!

How good was John Stockton? In light of his birthday tomorrow, here's a statistical look at #12. If he was playing today, he'd be a darling of the analytics world. For +Salt City Hoops  +Utah Jazz
Personal confession time: growing up, beyond family and a few close friends, John Stockton was perhaps the most influential person in my life. Sad, but true. #12 was my number of choice for all my ...

Wow...just wow.

Two time gold medalist. Multi time all star. 2records that will likely never be broken, 1st ballot hall of famer...but no one will remember him.

According to the rings argument, Robert Horry is the greatest player since Bill Russell.
