My wife and I have enjoyed the Le Virtu experience several times now. It is difficult to express how happy we are to have found this little piece of authentic Italy. We enjoy the welcoming owners Cathy and Francis who always make us feel like we are with family. Chef Luciano's work is a great tribute to the Abruzzo country side and to that part of Italy where the tourists are a minority and the true Italian spirit comes alive. We are definitely looking forward to inviting our family to join us at this gem of Italian life and cuisine. Le Virtu, we thank you. Josh and Melanie McCallen

overall, uppity environment, app was great but pasta course was an unimpressive let down. everything was oversalted.

I went with a group of friends. We were probably the last table reservation at 10pm. Our sever basically sounded like he didn't know anything about the menu. Not everyone in our group ordered a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd course. We asked to get them sent out in a way that accommodated everyone but the server said no. It had to be a specific way. At that point i became uncomfortable between our party and the server. When the food came out we were disappointed with the quality. We have been to better restaurants. At $80/person, I dont feel that he meal was worth it. I wont be coming back here again. This place does NOT deserve a James Beard award.

a pleasant trattoria serving authentic abruzzi dishes. the chef creatively combines flavors like cocoa pasta ravioli stuffed with braised rabbit and grated amaretto cookies in a butter sage sauce. fresh breads and pastry come to the table still warm from the oven. great food and attentive service. from the antipasti to dolci everything is well done. a great find in south philly!
