So much of my time is now spent on internal measurement alignment, that is helping identify datapoints across organizations and making sure the right people are talking and sharing data. Internal organizational comms is always a delicate dance though.
Imagine the breakthroughs if everyone was willing to share for the sake of getting to more usable and far-reaching results. Their fear of job- and control-loss would likely be replaced by more opportunity and farther-reaching successes (and dinero). A few firms get it, but mostly just those that are in business for the data to begin with.
