Basic Information
"Each friend represents a world in us"
I have a dad who owns two companies and volunteers at a homeless shelter over ten hours a week.

Lived in Tottori Japan as a student, studied Ikibana, Kendo, and taught girls soccer

Choreographed an award winning dance called The Four Moons while on the Full Circle Dance Company

Gave lectures to students on becoming an Industrial Photographer. Placed several times, first and second, in juried art shows at the Scarab Club in Detroit.

Wrote poetry, published first in University of Michigan Publications and then a book called Flowers for Bobby

Participated as a hippy in the play Hair without taking off all my clothes

Was a model for a man who sold pictures of me and my best friend Sara along side his portraits of Jack White before he was famous at the David Kline Art Gallery. Pink showed up to the show's opening.

Can make glass fish and evil eyes for protection from blowing hot glass when I have the right equipment. My kids each have one.

Once published a very boring White Paper on Mortgage Software while in a Public Relations Career

Named my first born after the mountain in Japan I lived on, which mean big and strong.

Worked at Detroit International Airport translating Japanese for Customs

Was a part time server for Arabic Weddings on the weekends so I could be a mom during the weekdays. I learned to Belly dance and started smoking the hookah.

Once tried to show off my breakdance moves on a pool table in heals but hit my head on the hanging lamp and threw up on my scarf later that night. Best Birthday ever!

Once made up a gang in high school called the Mercy Mafia (Mercy is an all girls Private Catholic School) and we had t-shirts printed up.

I have my own snowboard since high school but always choose to ski

My son Noah makes me laugh more than any other person in this world.

At home I drink wine out of my Grandma’s red Avon goblets.

When I was 7, I would prank call my grandparents because it was the only number I knew. They always laughed.

I skipped school once with Erin Nalepa to try out for Double Dare.

I spent my summers growing up with my family at my Grandparent’s cottage in Bell River, Canada. I still sound a little Canadian when I get drunk because that is where I usually drank.

I have three brothers, all self taught musicians that could easily form a boy band from Detroit.

I bought a house around the corner from my parents because my mom has become my best friend.
I love:
Watching dysen and Noah play chess
The smell of my sprinkler through my side porch
Feeling sleepy after accomplishing more than I set out to do
Walking home in the sunlight after Sunday mass
Steeling time to read a paperback until 4am
Listening to Noah laugh
Watching Dysen think his own thoughts
When people capitalize the word God
The pear tree that fills my bedroom window
Miso soup when I am cold
A fresh cold pillowcase on my pillow before bed
Coffee with steamed milk
Wearing my grandma’s jewelry
Noah’s milkshakes and Dysen’s pancakes
fake tattoos
Gerber Daisies
Mint in my ice water
“It’s Just Music” from New Orleans
My pink bathing suite I will never again fit into
The ashtray from sawmill creak
White dishes and cold milk
Ice-skating on New Years Eve
A fire in my fireplace on Winter Solstice
The smell of strawberries in my kitchen
Drinking dirty martinis in a jazz club
Mint chutney on fried Jalapeños

Bragging rights
I once hit three trees with one golf swing
