IVN.us is hosting the first ever, online presidential debate. In the past, candidates travelled together to debate the issues facing their states and our country. Thomas Dewey and Harold Stassen propelled the debate process forward when they moved to the radio in 1948. Television made a grand entrance into national politics in 1960 when John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon took to the stage during the Great Debates.
In 2012, two candidates will debate online. This event will change the way that candidates discuss the issues today and in the future. Watch as two candidates debate questions submitted by you from two different parts of the country, moderated from California by IVN.us
Join us on October 18, 2012 in making history. Watch as Governor Gary Johnson and Dr. Jill Stein take to the Internet to debate and address the issues you see facing America today.
The mission of IVN.us is to raise the level of civil discourse to a place where solutions are more persuasive than talking points, and participation is not conditioned on your party affiliation.
