What I like about being a writer is that I am constantly learning. I learned a lot about how fitness can help us maintain our youth while researching this piece.https://bit.ly/2wtELxN

I can't wait to read these! "The Obamas will also donate a "significant portion" of the books' proceeds to charities, including the Obama Foundation."

So now a "sensitivity reader" is a thing in publishing. To me this is political correctness gone amok. Who's writing the book anyway? I believe in reader feedback, but I think this is going too far:
Clayton said she's unsettled by the idea that she's being paid for her expertise, but also is helping white authors write black characters for books from which they reap profit and praise.
"It feels like I'm supplying the seeds and the gems and the jewels from our culture, and it creates cultural thievery," Clayton said. "Why am I going to give you all of those little things that make my culture so interesting so you can go and use it and you don't understand it?"
Yeah, well, I've never been a blue alien from the planet Xorax, but I think I can write that. Jean Auel was never a cave woman. I doubt Asimov was ever a robot. And, Philip Roth is not a black man passing as Jewish (or is he?). That is what research is for.
