I came here for the DAT dinner. Interestingly, you didn't have a choice to order outside of the DAT menu, so it made it a lot simpler for the waiters and chef. I had to try the truffle risotto because it sounded quite amazing based on reviews I read. It certainly was delicious. I did try a scallop from a friend's dish and that too was equally tasty. The only thing I didn't like was the lobster broth with prawns because there was too much parsley and it was irritating my sore throat. The waiter also insisted that we should order different dishes on the menu and share, but I don't really think a four-course French style dinner is meant to be shared--it's not tapas. The sharing plates were on the larger side and took up space on our small table. The bus boys kept giving each of us new plates and then taking them away minutes later only to have another one bring us another set of plates -- it was quite comical.

Adorable restaurant located in the heart of the Marina district (and yes, parking is difficult in this neighborhood) I came here for Dine About Town and highly enjoyed my experience here. I loved the heated patio dining area in the back and the servers were prompt and attentive. The cuisine is "French-California" but everything we ordered was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. The truffle mushroom risotto, roasted rack of lamb, and duck breast were the entree highlights. As for appetizers the dungeness crab salad, yellowfin tuna, and steamed Prince Edward island mussels were some of the favorites. The dishes are prepared family style and perfect for sharing. I'd recommend coming here with a larger group so you can get a chance to try a little bit of everything on the menu! One of my favorite dining spots and is a perfect dining option for girls night out, date night, or any occasion really! I'd recommend coming to Isa - I don't think you'll leave disappointed.

Went for DAT. Even with it being busy, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The kitchen didn't skimp on portions for the prix-fixed menu and the food was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be returning!

I tried Isa during Dine About Town week and it was very good. It has great ambiance with a patio in the back. The crab salad was light and tasty. The braised ribs were falling off the bone good. The creme brulee was just right! I would go back.

O-m-g, I love this place. I came for the DAT menu with some out of town friends who were all impressed! Actually, they're from NYC and with the amount of good food that they have in NYC, I'm so happy San Francisco was able to show them something equally good. The DAT Dinner menu is around $36.95 per person and so worth it for the amount of food that you get. The service is also impeccable here, so attentive. Good thing I came with a party of 6 so I basically got to try everything on the menu! Also, make sure to leave your name/email with them so they can email you about specials for holidays such as their foie gras and New Years menus :)

Dine About Town Menu! :) Third visit at Isa! You come to Isa partly for the food and partly for the impeccable service. The waiter staff is very knowledgeable in the menu and is always there by your side for whenever you need ANYTHING. The bread basket was never empty and the water glass will always be at least half full. They have kind, friendly, and efficient. If I had my own restaurant, I would want to steal this waitstaff at Isa! On to the food... 1. Lobster Broth - I really enjoyed this broth as it was very fresh and clean. It wasn't fattening and buttery as I would've imagined it to be. The prawns were a good addition to the dish. 2. Mussels - This dish was decent, but definitely not the most flavorful mussels I've had. Some of them actually had that fishy stench, but not a whole lot. The broth was good with bread though. 3. Crab Salad - Generous portion! There were four little salad cups with generous servings of dungeness crab meat. This was very refreshing and delicious! 4. Risotto - This was kind of a disappointment. It was rather watery and the amount of cheese made it too rich. In addition, I think that it could have used more flavor from the mushrooms. 5. Duck Breast - The meat was so tender that it didn't even taste like duck! I really enjoyed this dish and wished I had ordered this instead. 6. Steak - People at my table raved about the tenderness of the steak and the sauce. I didn't get to try it, but it sure looked yummy! 7. Scallops - Not a big portion for those of you who are hungry. 8. Creme Brulee - The consistency of the creme brulee was pretty good. It had the nice bitterness and caramelization from the sugar and sweetness of the custard. It would have been nice served with some fresh berries! 9. Semifreddo - Very almondy for those who like that. It tasted somewhere between a cake and ice cream. Can't really pinpoint it, but don't think I liked it very much... Overall, the food and service here is great. Would definitely come back! :)
