I debated 3 or 4 stars; I went with 4 because of the ambiance. We came to Clyde's because it was midnight, we were hungry, and nothing else was open. And then I was so glad that we came to Clyde's because the ambiance was fun. Very old-fashioned and intimate--tall ceilings, cozy booths, lots of decorations. I felt like I could really sit back and enjoy. And enjoy I did! I got a reuben and enjoyed the hell out of it; the meat was good, the bread was good, the saucing was good. It was a warm, nicely done sandwich. The fries, unfortunately, were eh. I was, for whatever reason, quite taken by the water pitcher. It was metal and in the shape of a fish, and it stayed icy cold to the touch. The waiter filled our waters from the pitcher and then left the pitcher on the table so we could refill our own waters. That was nice, and allowed me to study the pitcher in greater detail! With all of that said, I wish Clyde's were a bit cheaper.

Clyde's is always a pretty solid dining experience. It's packed and you will likely not be seated without reservations when there's an event at the Verizon Center. You may be able to snag a seat at one of the bars though. Upstairs looks very fancy old world but I've never really thought of the place as fancy. I normally get the crab cakes and they're always good. I like their mixed drinks as well. I normally get good service whether at the bar or seated.

Good food, nice staff. Had two burgers perfectly cooked to medium as requested. The brownie in the brownie fudge sundae tasted like it came out of a vending machine

Absolutely loved this place. Our waiter was Isaias, and I have to say his customer service skills alone would have me giving this place a 5 star rating. Take into account that both me and the GF enjoyed everything about our meals...GAME OVER! Great place, and when we come back to DC we will be coming back to Clyde's.

Came here for drinks and snacks before a show at the Verizon center. It was crowded, but even for a crowded night, the service was really slow and unattentive. The food was only OK, but the beer selection was pretty good. The crowd/atmosphere wasn't the greatest, probably won't be coming back.

The food at Clyde's is fine, but the service is pretty terrible, particularly at the bar. Prime example: the bartender told my group to literally shout our orders across the bar as he stood at one end and we were at the other. When we declined (because shouting would have been unnecessary and awkward as it was not crowded and Clyde's is not a rowdy sports bar), the bartender became visibly annoyed as he walked over to us. He then proceeded to give my friend the entirely wrong drink and forgot mine all together. I try to avoid going to Clyde's as much as possible.

A great pre-movie spot. I've eaten dinners here, grabbed quick drinks before a hockey game, and had a casual catch up with a friend and Clyde's has always been consistently good with awesome service. Order a bloody for brunch and oysters for dinner/happy hour. Happy hour downstairs can get packed when the Capitals are in town.

I just had brunch at this Clyde's and it was really great. My friend and I wanted the liver and onions which were not on the brunch menu. We asked our waiter Stuart, who was great, to ask if we could get it. He did and the chef declined saying it was to early and he didn't have the right sauces and it wouldn't turn out right. We had nachos and the hummus for appetizers and both were wonderful. but very filling. I had the crab cake for m entree and I couldn't eat it all. The brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes with it and the sauce was divine. Creme Brulee for dessert made my day. I asked to see Chef Mo and told him how much I enjoyed his food and thanked him for not making the liver since it would not met his expectations. I think it is nice for chefs and waiters etc to hear that they are appreciated and do good work. I will definetly recommend this one to my friends. Keep up the good work.
