To stand out in a crowded marketplace & attract more of your ideal clients, having a USP (unique selling proposition) and niche defined for your small business is vital. If you don't have one yet (or haven't updated it in a while), follow these 5 steps:

1. Check out your competition: What are their USPs? Is there a gap in the market you can fill?
2. Define your target audience: Who's your ideal client? What do they need, want & value?
3. Look at your products & services: What do you offer? What are the benefits to your customers?
4. Think about your values: What do you stand for? How do you want to be perceived?
5. Create your USP: What stands out? What do you do that others don't (or at least aren't shouting about)?

So, you've been doing your marketing for a while now and everything seems to be going well. Or maybe not? Maybe one of your marketing channels stopped delivering good results recently and you're not sure what to replace it with? Or is your target audience no longer as engaged as they used to be?

Sounds like you could use some new ideas for your marketing! Here are a few ideas that can help you with new inspirations:

- Check out your favourite companies and brands online – what do you like about their marketing? Can you use some of their ideas for your own promotions?
- Think about trying out a new marketing channel – if there's a social media channel you have been neglecting lately or a completely new way to market, give it a shot!
- Have your goals and priorities shifted recently? How can you reflect this in your marketing?
- Have a chat with other small business owners and ask them what works best for them. Maybe some of those can work for your business, too.

How do you come up with new ideas to promote your small business?
