I've finally worked out what is wrong with #PMQs - here's my blog post about it.

Meanwhile, over on the BBC News website, one correspondent brings up the question of... erm... forced gay marriage!

Is it just me or is this zoo just a little bit out of control?

Where to start...

School officials in Grand Junciton, Colo., are meeting to debate whether to allow the return of a 9-year-old who shaved her head in support of her friend in chemotherapy

Marine Le Pen's FN has done well in the municipales. Sad. She and her shabby party don't represent any French person that I've ever met. The PS and Hollande have let this happen. It's part of their legacy.

Remember that new rules are now in force about marriage in England. They're very complicated so, for those who still don't get it, do read them slowly. Here they are:

1 - if you are not gay, you do not HAVE to marry someone of the same sex.

2 - if two people of the same sex get married and one of them isn't you, it does not affect you.

3 - people being happy isn't a bad thing.

Hope that helps. ‪#‎equalmarriage‬

...because blocking Twitter was so effective!

It's difficult to work out why the Turkish government things that trying something that will inevitably fail is a good idea. All it will do is empower the people and make them realise that you do not have the power that you think you have.

If you want to stop them speaking, shut off all the comms networks - mobile and fixed line... And then you'll need to stop people using satellite phones - so maybe a roof to stop the signals and a wall to stop them being smuggled in... Postal service, messages in bottles, radio waves...

Look, you can't do it. Embrace criticism. It's what democracy is all about. Sometimes they love you, sometimes they hate you - suck it up.
But, seriously, stop trying to do stupid things. It'll only make you look... stupid!

If you remember when department stores were already old fashioned and the staff were there to serve you as a customer, be helpful, give good advice and not try to sell you an extended warranty, then you will feel at home at Austins. A proper, genuine, no-pressure, high quality, great value and old fashioned (in a good way) department store with service so superb that it just underlines how bad service is everywhere else. Go to a 'normal' high street shop and see all the tricks they use to get you to buy things. Then go to Austins and you'll realise they do none of that. The place defies gravity! Simply superb with the sort of loyal customer base that you only get from taking care of customers and not ripping them off. What can I say? Austins is how shops should be. And even better.
