YES!!!

While 97% of U.S. Internet users look online for local goods and services, more than half of small businesses in the U.S. do not have a website. The potential impact of getting these businesses on the web and succeeding online is enormous. Today, small businesses throughout the country can get online for free at http://www.AmericaGetOnline.com. Businesses get a free, easy-to-build website as well as a free, customized domain name and web hosting for one year. If you’re a small business, get your business online today. Or, to invite a business to the web, visit http://www.gybo.com/invitation

To date, we've helped bring small businesses in all 50 states online -- read more about the project on the blog (http://goo.gl/iYo56) and watch the highlights video below.

Hope everyone had a safe, fun holiday weekend! - and remembered what Americans went through for years to earn us the labor rights we enjoy today.

Took this bottom photo today to show the extent of flooding, as a sort of "before and after." Believe it or not, this actually is the exact same location. The river was even a couple inches higher before the last two days of sunshine, judging by the high water marks on some electric poles nearby.

I'm getting a Chrome stickerrrr! happydance

Four years ago, when the Chrome team launched an initial, beta version of the browser, the web was a very different place. Head over to the Chrome Blog for some reflections on how the web (and how people use it) have evolved since 2008: http://goo.gl/nkj7q.

If you’d like to travel back in time to some cool moments in Chrome’s history, check out out the new Chrome Time Machine below. If you find the hidden clue and type in the secret code, you might be able to secure yourself a special birthday gift from the Chrome team....

This video is guaranteed to make you smile. I miss Bob, he was really something special.

You asked us for it -- Bob Ross -- remixed. We hope you like this tribute to Bob Ross from PBS Digital Studios that captures the spirit of his long-running PBS series, The Joy of Painting.

Please share with your friends (and if you like this video, please support your local PBS station: www.pbs.org/donate).

Many thanks to the folks at Bob Ross, Inc and American Public Television for their support.

I like the atmosphere for the most part, though sometimes the music is too loud. The staff are friendly, especially Jay. Personally I don't like their coffee, it's too bitter for my taste, but I do like their tea and pastries. Sometimes I wish they had some snacks other than pastries, but that's okay. They have slightly high prices but nothing outrageous, and they have a loyalty reward card where you get a free drink after buying ten. There's free wifi. They display local artwork, though as an artist I don't like that you have to pay just to display your stuff. They also have concerts and shows regularly. I like that they allow well-behaved dogs. There's a down-to-earth community feel to the place, and it's a genuine "local small business" which I always try to support. Summary: I'd like it better if the coffee were fresher-tasting and the music softer, but it's a nice place to hang out once in a while.

I like the food and drinks, of course, but the main reasons I go there as much as I can are the relaxing atmosphere and the staff, who are friendly and down-to-earth and involved in the community with volunteering and philanthropy. Normally I prefer local "small" businesses but this is my one exception because it feels like they -are- one. They're really great people.

Fresh quality ingredients with lots of options, friendly staff, fast service, big portions for the price, a chill environment, delivery service available, and they're a "small business" not a big franchise chain. I love this place, can't think of a single criticism.
