We stopped in here with the kids after a long day at the zoo. The server was extremely kid-friendly and helped us find items to tempt them. Our older son is a fabulous eater and loved everything from the cheeses, to the quail to the lamb chops. Even our picky eater found he enjoyed the hake special, as well as the sauteed cauliflower. Everything came out in rapid succession and as an entire family we delighted in sampling the variety that came out. We found their wine shop also sold wines at retail prices (to go) and took a bottle with us. It was all expensive, but no more so than other tapas restaurants we've visited. Outstanding.

This was my first Jose Andres restaurant I tried, and if this is a sample of what the others have to offer, well watch out! My wife and I took a chance on a raining Friday night @ 7pm to visit, without reservations, and I'm glad we did. The service was excellent, and the food superb.

Tapas. There is no better place for tapas in DC and the happy hour is one of the best deals in DC, and in a city built on happy hours, that's a big deal.

Good happy hour spot. The sangrias are delicious and cheap, as are the happy hour tapas. Some of the tapas are a bit small/not filling at all though so while they are cheap, they still add up quick. Get a mix of heavier/filling ones and the lighter ones and you'll be good to go!

The food is absolutely delicious at Jaleo, but I do sometimes find it somewhat greasy for my taste. The Sangria is delightful and this is a great place for either an intimate date night or a night out with friends. The Crystal City location has partnered with Synetic Theater and often offers a special dinner and theatre package which makes for a wonderful night out. Highly recommend.
