Just got word that for the 4th year in a row we have been named as one of America's Best Bike shops by the National Bicycle Dealers Association - NBDA. It is because of all of our friends and my staff that we are able to maintain this high standard. Next month we celebrate 5 years of being in business and this is a great way to kick off the celebration.
Thank you one and all!

The largest cycling event in Tucson, Arizona is the annual El Tour de Tucson.
While this event draws upwards of 8000 riders every year, it is not just for adults. The JR El tour program helps introduce kids to cycling. It is a no cost program that provides all the equipment and is sponsored by wonderful foundations and organizations. Space is limited so call or email to get information.

Against The Odds. Moving Forward One "Step" At A Time
Thursday, August 9 at 6 PM - 9 PM

Join us for a night filled with inspiration! Hear from two guest speakers Brian Wacik & Shirey Carlton Keene how they pulled themselves from the extreme darkness in their own lives and navigated through life's tremendous challenges only to come out the other side happy, healthy & defying the odds! We will have plenty of food, wine & a question and answer session to follow. We hope to see you there. Please RSVP as we want to have plenty of food and drinks for everyone!🚴‍♀️💜💪

Brian Wacik: Bio

Who is Brian?
Humans tend to categorize one another: what we do for a living, how many kids, kind of car, type of clothes, where we live. Brian believes this misses the essence of a person. Brian’s disarming and laid back‘So, what’s your story?’ forms connections rather than space between folks, and immediately identifies the playing field as level, honest, open and direct. His sanguine personality creates immediate affinity, and he is forever curious of the journeys of others. He’s had some successes: Built an investment practice, climbed Mt. Washington on his bike (twice…the fool), turned a leg amputation at age 18 into astounding opportunities, traveled the country in a VW bus (oh, the stories), overcame active alcoholism, andwas invited to a week of evaluation and testing at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA with other Elite National Paracyclists. He’s had some low points: Loss of business and every penny, several alcohol-fueled arrests, estrangement from daughter, overwhelming debt, divorce, & jail. Today he honestly says he doesn’t regret the past (is this possible? You bet it is…..ask him how), and uses his experience to help others. He believes in living - really living - one's life to the fullest. He arises each day at 4:00 so as to get the most out of each day. He does inspirational reading of many types, continues to train his cycling legs for events throughout the southwest, & loves the mountains & the high desert. He spends his days changing attitudes and lives with his Humanity 2.0 business model, travels for Motivational Speaking gigs (he calls them ‘ACTivational’), does select Corporate Sales Training, leads up-and-coming bike racers on rides every week and believes strongly in service to others. Somewhere in there he carved out time to write an Amazon #1 Bestseller: “Life Rocks – The 5 Master Keys to Overcome Any Obstacle, Dissolve Every Fear, Smash Old Behavior Patterns & Live the Life You Were Born to Live” His oft uttered (& unabashedly plagiarized) mantra of 'When You Change The Way You Look at Things, The Things You Look at Change' serves him well in his professional and personal life. He knows without doubt anything – absolutely anything – is possible. He remains as delightful, humorous and witty as ever, and grows more handsome with each passing year. You can be sure that this is so because he has written this little essay himself and his devotion to absolute objectivity is notorious! He is an animal lover (dogs Nemo, Frankie & Pedro), an elite cyclist, enjoys woodworking.

Shirey "Shy" Keene: Bio

Who is Shy?
Words to live by: Every moment is a gift of possibility, an opportunity to positively impact others, the world & yourself! TODAY:
She is a caring individual who hopes to share her story with other's. If she can inspire just one person then EVERYTHING she has been through has been worth it! After 16 years in a wheelchair, walker & cane. She know's that life is all to short & is trying to make up for lost time! She normally has every day filled with a million thing's to do as she never wants to miss out on anything ever again! She does everything with a smile on her face even while in pain every day. She knows laughter is the best medicine! You will often find her doing silly things like 8 second rides on statues just to make people laugh! Life needs to be fun & surround yourself with great people who want to share your amazing journey!
She spends her time with her loving husband Ken & family. Riding as much as possible with great friends! Doing yoga, crossfit & training new cyclists.
She loves her puppies Mr. Pigglesworth, Latte & her flying squirrel Shooter. She covers rodeos, horse shows and ranches as often as possible as well as photographing everything in site! If you ride with us on the Saturday morning Roundup, the time is now 6 am. Please be ready to ride at 6. As always the shop will be open for any last minute needs and restrooms.
Also we are starting the process to find a new employee for our shop. Bike shop experience is a huge plus but good customer service skills are even more important. Mechanical experience is also a big plus.
Contact Bicycle Ranch Tucson via email at Tucsoninfo@bicycleranch.com.
