I actually didn't book this room because the gentleman who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I asked some questions regarding what he accommodations were and when they didn't match what the hotel has listed, I suggested, very politely that they change those so they match so people don't call them hoping to get a room and find out they can't because there is false information posted. I was told very rudely that I won't be accommodated at all here at this hotel just for simply telling the person who answered the phone that the might want to make sure information is actually correct. If this is how they fun their business than I can see why their rooms are so cheap. Horrible service during the booking process. Way to lose a customer Canyon Inn.

If the staff don't scare you away within the first 5 min, then you might be safe, but I would sleep with a knife under your pillow. Reading the reviews on the mgmt via yelp, Google, ect, should have had us looking elsewhere, but we thought people were being dramatic. HA! They couldn't be more true. If you like to have a slag scream in your mothers face, or your face, head here! Hey, some people like that. I'm not here to judge. Except I will judge the foul, unwashed, mouth breather that runs the place. Zero stars for my first review ever. Stay local and give your money to the small businesses owner. Except this one. Spend an extra ten more dollars somewhere else.

Great little find in flagstaff . I had just come into town and I went to another motel that looked run down cheap and the lobby smells like curry so I decided to try this place the lobby is well kept everything is freshly painted the new owners are great and to the people who said that the person on the phone didn't care if they stay there or not it's because they don't they don't want drug addicts they don't want rude guests and they don't want people who are going to ruin what they worked very hard to make here. Don't expect the Hilton but definitely expect a room that smells good is very clean freshly painted and close to everything you want to see in Flagstaff. I will definitely stay here again and again.

I think it is very important that this review be made to warn travelers before they book at this motel. I made a reservation early April for 2 nights May 9 & 10 - to attend my daughter's graduation at NAU. I made the reservation using Canyon Inn's website, received confirmation, and all appeared set. Tonight, less than a week from my arrival, I received a voice mail message from "Laura" First, Laura was very critical about the contact number I left her - In her words she stated: "I guess you should have left your cell number or home number and you should not have left your work number (which is my cell phone number); and Second, she stated: "I am sorry to tell you, you do not have a reservation on the 9th here. Your credit card was invalid, and the price somebody has given you is absolutely a joke." " It s not $49.95 but $109.95 and the following night is $199.95 I am very sorry you chose to leave your work number". When I called back, she said her and her husband took over about six weeks ago, new managers/owners. I told her I had booked directly on line on their website and had a confirmation number, etc to prove it. She could careless. Luckily, I had the good fortune of telling her I had cancelled the reservation only moments earlier because I had double booked another hotel. Oh, did I mention my copy of the reservation on their website reflects my current and correct credit card number. Having lived in Flagstaff for many years, I know that price gouging goes on the week of NAU's graduation. The first call I make Monday morning is to the Flagstaff Better Business Bureau and look forward to playing the voice mail message for them and giving them a copy of the confirmation.The next call will be to the Attorney General's Office for fraud.

super quaint little motel. the rooms are beautifully decorated and cozy! the staff are friendly and live on-site so you know if there's a problem, you'll have help. the only things that could have been better would be light fixtures that didn't flicker in the bathroom and sink area and the toilet was a little wobbly. but the shower was hot and the beds were comfy!

I feel its important to point out that I have stayed here twice. The first time i stayed here the staff was friendly and nice. We check in and they inform us that the maid has not made her way to our room yet, but in 20 min she will be done. We parked the car and walked to a bar/restaurant called granny closet. watched an entire football game and had drinks. Walked back to find the maid laying in a bed in our room watching tv. (room was not clean yet) we asked her to leave, and please bring fresh towels. She never brought towels. lol. The next time i stayed here was a little different. We walked in to our room and got hit with a cloud of marijuana smoke. went to the front desk to complain and the women behind the desk was higher then a kite and eyes were redder then i have ever seen. lol. I would stay here again. But just know its nothing special. buyer be ware.

WOW, I havent even stayed here and felt compelled to write a review which I have never done before. I just made a reservation and feel like i've been molested. Turns out, I was talking to the Owner. She didnt seem to care if we stayed there or not. Didnt have any way to provide a confirmation and I'm really not sure if I actually have a reservation. No matter what, I'm calling back to cancel. Dont trust this lady, dont want to meet her, and dont want to saty at her place. I'll pay more just to know I actually have a room.

I don't like giving a bad review, but here we are. This is a simple motel in a good location to downtown Flagstaff, and for the price, seems like a good low budget way to explore the town. In the summer when everything else was booked, and this place still had rooms, it made sense to stay. It now makes sense why they still had rooms. We were staying as a group to go to the Flagstaff beer festival and just needed something simple. I had an email confirmation since they don't have any other way to confirm your reservation, and then I started getting emails with their invoices. Yep, I know who stayed in each room, how much they paid (ranged from $37.95 to $59.95, so if you do have to stay here, bargain with them), and how they paid. I sent an email letting them know this was not appropriate for me to receive. Red lights were flashing, but I needed a place and again, everything else was booked. Then the shower did not work. The first guy we talked to at the desk was professional and came in to try to fix it. Since we had two rooms, we agreed it was fine for us to use the shower in the second room, and he said we would be discounted. Fair enough, if that all panned out, but nope. Apparently the guys running the counter are at the whip of some elusive owner who said there was no resolve, and there are clearly signs posted saying no refunds. I could not talk directly to anyone who could do anything about it, so here we are, if you want a clean room where you have a bed and a shower for cheap, stay at any of the other motels nearby. I've stayed at Highland Country Inn in the past and got professional service and a clean room with working shower.
