BJ's in Newark is the one place I truly want to like, but just can't because of the rude people, chilly atmosphere, and incompetent employees. The food is pretty great and they have some deals that are truly worth going to BJ's for. There are some nice staff members, sure, but if you're at the bar and there's people sitting in front of the television and you want them to move, the staff will not accomadate you whatsoever when it comes to the enjoyment of the game. "OK" I say to myself "I'll watch it on the little TVs" nope, not a chance. Every TV has the Sunday Football Game on while the TV's I was facing towards had some golf channel that some one requested. I asked if they could change it, but they denied my request. It just goes to show how little they care about the customer when it comes to comfort. Overall, the food is delicious, staff is terrible, and the environment is uncomfortable.

The variety of on-site craft beers make this place interesting. The deep-dish pizza is good (better than any other local pizza I have tried). I've had bad luck in the past with other entrees though, tasting like they came off the Sysco freezer truck (i.e. pre-fab meals). Interior decoration is brew-pub fashionable (above sports bar, below fine dining).

The food is really good. Its a nice hangout place with some good music playing around. I feel the menu is too big with lot of choices.

Food average at best but if you are after a busy atmosphere then this place is good. Sport on the big screen for live games.

Visited this place to catch some football while on a business trip. I sat at half filled bar and waited over 10 minutes just to order a drink. Bartender said the taps obstructed his view of me, but I was sitting right in the center of the bar and with a clear view of the TVs. Order fried calamari. Portion was a good size but was soggy and greasy. Maybe other things on this menu are better but fried calamari should be tough to screw up. Good beer selections, but would not visit again.
