This week in 1903, the Ford Motor Company was founded, and the very first car sold, a Model A, was bought by a Dr. Pfennig for a grand total of $850.

The Model A had a two-cylinder engine, and could reach a max speed of 30 mph.

During this week in 1927 Henry Ford and his son Edsel, drove the 15 millionth Model T out of the Highland Park factory in Michigan, bringing to an end the production of what has since been voted the most influential car of the 20th century.
