I am working on a template that states learning target and success criteria while providing resources and a space for students to plan how they'll reach the target. I would appreciate any feedback on its usefulness as well as ideas for improvement.

This is a creative use of Google Slides to display different learning targets and success criteria when students are working on different targets simultaneously. Credit to Clayton Powell from KTC Automotive for this one. He has this looping on his display while kids are working so they can reference it as needed. Here's how to loop Google Slides: https://sites.google.com/a/ccpsnet.net/edtechhub/application-support/google-drive/how-can-i-make-a-google-slides-presentation-loop-or-advance-on-its-own

Ok everyone. Here is my first submission to the group. Please access the form below, consider my instructional focus, watch the video, and rate me using the provided scale. I apologize for the poor audio quality. I planned to use a Swivl, but the iPad was dead. So, I used my phone.

When creating the form, I followed the recording protocol and used the scales on strategy #8, Previewing New Content, to determine the descriptors for beginning, developing, applying, and innovating (link to doc used: http://www.marzanocenter.com/files/Marzano_AST_Domain1234_20130107.pdf. Just doing that helped me to see areas for improvement. If I had done that prior to presenting, I think I would have had greater impact.

I spent 30-45 minutes overall and feel it was time well spent.

If you are looking for a good way to create models, facilitate mind-mapping/brainstorming, or represent things visually, check out this Google Drawings option. The video walks you through the process.

Check out this report from @FridayInstitute to dig into what #personalizedlearning  really is or could be: http://www.fi.ncsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/TEPLS_report-FINAL-051415.pdf. This may be the biggest buzzword in EDU today, and it seems like there are a lot of misconceptions/misrepresentations as well as general confusion around it. If you scroll down to the guiding questions under the themes, they help drill down to the things that must be considered to move towards a personalized learning system.

Exploring teacher development & more w/ David Weston, @informed_edu. Tough to combine personal growth & alignment w/ common goals/curriculum. Seems like a lot of teacher development and training , especially development that is sought by individuals. An overarching and common focus should guide the process, and people should be accountable to that. #miched
