As I've announced that I'm closing down LXnews and the Sixgun Productions blog, here's a link to my new project. This is where I will be blogging from now on. Articles will be a lot less frequent than posts on LXnews but I will go into a lot more detail.
I love covering technology news. I've always been very interested in computers and all kinds of nifty gadgets and I love writing and talking about new stuff. But the one thing that is very disturb...

It makes me really sad to announce this, but I am shutting down lxnews.org - I have some pretty big changes coming in my life soon and in order to be able to have enough time to still do Linux Outlaws, I need to cut corners. I will also close down the Sixgun blog since that was originally meant for both +Dan Lynch and me but he also has his hands full with stuff.

I won't stop writing, though. I already have a new blog set up that I will be using from now on. I just can't do a daily news site anymore without making money off it. And naturally, I'll keep posting personal stuff right here on Google+. I am truly sorry for all who came to depend on the site. :(

I suspected that something like this would happen... the outcry would have been huge if they actually used their update system this way.

After 24 hours of blacking out all of our sites for #SOPASTRIKE, we've just restored operations back to normal.

But please stay vigilant, the fight isn't over yet!

Samsung announced plans to collaborate with Intel to merge the merged project with the remains of MeeGo, to create a unified mobile experience. Developer teams of both companies are reported to be "sick and tired because tweaking the Android UI doesn't add enough bloat to force people to buy new phones every 6 months".

Linux, Android and Open Source News
Introduction
LXNews covers everything to do with the Linux kernel, Android, free and open source software, the web, digital rights and free culture. We also cover proprietary software, companies and international politics where those intersect with the aforementioned issues. We believe that software freedom is worthless without personal freedom both as a citizen and as a consumer.
