If you are looking for saffron, our Sonnentor organic saffron is now back in stock. This amazing spice has been revered throughout millennia for its medical properties and its ability to energise dishes with an earthy essence. Any why so expensive you may ask? It takes 4,500 crocus flowers to make up just one ounce (28gm) of saffron. http://ow.ly/PFKGX

Need a mood boost? Saffron to the rescue! Research has shown that this very special spice has antidepressant properties and can act in the same way as Prozac by helping to make serotonin, the feel-good neurotransmitter in our brain more available. And here I was thinking it was just a delicious spice that made risottos even better.

We had a good chat about the paleo diet the other day as it's been in the news so much lately what with the controversial bone-broth-for-babies recipe - what the! and Kylie saying she's into paleo.

So should you go paleo? This is a tough question. It comes down to your health, energy levels, wellbeing and your goals. Are you an elite athlete? Are you a nana? Do you need to lose weight?

Perhaps paleo is the answer to your dietary needs, but we think there would need to be a good reason why you would consider making such major changes.
