The Grill, as it’s fondly referred to by frequent guests, is located in the heart of Beverly Hills. The iconic restaurant is known for the deals being negotiated by many of the entertainment industry’s elite. In the evening, The Grill has a more formal vibe. Instead of one server for your table, you have two staff members dressed in starched white jackets working together. Modeled after the Grills of the 1930s and 40s in New York and San Francisco, they offer classic American fare by trained professional and attentive servers in a dignified atmosphere. The Grill is famous for dishes such as pan fried John Dory, chicken pot-pie and their signature Cobb salad. The pan fried John Dory is seasoned with a lemon butter sauce and served with chunks of grilled vegetables drizzled in a balsamic barbecue sauce. The veal “Tomahawk” chop with sliced Porcini and Shitake mushrooms in a veal demi sauce. It’s served with a generous portion of smooth spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert try the classic triple layered strawberry shortcake made with fresh baked biscuits and a heaping of fresh whipped cream. The Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills was the first to open of its kind. From 1998 to 2008, the partners opened The Grill on the Alley in San Jose, Chicago, Hollywood, Dallas, Westlake Village and in Aventura, Florida. They also opened various Daily Grills and Public School restaurants. For steaks, chops, salads and classic fare, The Grill is a destination that will please all of your senses.

We chose The Grill on the Alley for our annual CEO Dinner. The owner made sure that we were taken care of very well. He gave us the best private room in the house. Treated us very well and the food was great. It's not easy to make 23+ CEOs happy, but they sure accomplished the task. Thanks!!

The upscale version of The Daily Grill, there is something to be said for this BH be-and-be-seen entertainment industry hangout. Always tastely, but reliable standards such as salads, fish and chicken pot pie, the restaurant caters to the high maintenance needs of its clientele.

I'm a Real Estate Agent in Beverly Hills and The Grill on the Alley has never let me down! Since I'm frequently referred to as the Realtor to the Stars it's important for me when I wining and dining out of town clients, especially those from Dubai that they come away from the experience impressed with what the Beverly Hills lifestyle has to offer and The Grill on the Alley does just that! It's also walking distance from my office at Rodeo Realty which makes it very convenient. I hope you found this review helpful and if you decide to visit this fine restaurant be sure to tell them John McQuilkin sent you!

I absolutely love this restaurant!!! I think Grill on the Alley has some of the best food I've ever eaten. I love the atmosphere. Kind of an old school steakhouse feel. I always get fish, however, and I am always VERY impressed. They have a wonderful selection of classic yummy food.

Service is always impecable and the waiters know there stuff. This is a small restaurant and the regulars flock here for the diverse menu and great drinks. Though it can get nisy and often people are crammed into tables too small for their party, the wait staff treat you with respect and service is prompt and perfect.

Extremely disappointing. After being a regular for years at the restaurant in San Jose, I found the service at the Beverly Hills location to be terrible. I thought the host had a bad attitude. Unacceptable anyplace, but especially at these prices. I would recommend instead going to the Capital Grille that is a few blocks away.
