The Australian Pelican is very common around the waters of Australia, and boasts the largest beak of all the world's pelicans. They feed mainly on fish, but have been known to feed on scraps and sometimes other birds.

Sacred Kingfisher.  Fairly common around most of Australia, but usually shy around humans.  This little fella was seen near Cudgen Creek, in NSW.

Did somebody say Snake Tuesday!? No? Nobody said that? Oh well, here's a copperhead snake from Tasmania. One of the three species of snake(all venomous) found in Tasmania. I learned this day that snakes do not move well on asphalt, which is a good thing, since i was laying on the road in front of it.   #snaketuesday
