What must be done across the country to best prepare for disasters?

A recent Institute of Medicine (IOM) report asserts that when U.S. communities, states, and federal agencies add a health lens to planning and recovery, communities can both mitigate the health damage caused by disasters and recover in ways that make them healthier and more resilient.

Please join us on December 4, from 12:15– 1 p.m., ET for a First Friday Google+ Hangout to discuss how communities can engage in cross-sector collaboration to incorporate health into disaster planning and recovery.

Susan Dentzer (Moderator), senior policy adviser to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will be joined by:
*Paul Kuehnert, DNP, RN, director, Bridging Health and Health Care Portfolio, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
*Reed Tuckson, MD, FACP, managing partner, Tuckson Health Connections
*Jennifer Leeflang, senior vice president, Partners in Care, Visiting Nurse Service of New York

RSVP for the event: http://rwjf.ws/1P61eFr

During the Hangout, you can join the conversation and ask questions on Twitter with hashtag  #RWJF1stFri.

This event is part of the #RWJF1stFri series – a platform to inform RWJF audiences about lessons our partners are learning as we work to build a Culture of Health.
This Hangout On Air is hosted by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

They have a great selection of bling and non-bling but stylish jeans, shoes, purses, sunglasses, head bands, and jewelry. Their prices are great and the service is knowledgeable. Just what the fashion doctor ordered.

Great location on the river in Aberdeen, WA looking at a historic (still functioning) railroad bridge. The chowder is divine, the crab delightful and the service is fabulous.
